This time Saori san, the Manager at PATINA, Café & Brasserie really surpassed herself!
She told me she had practiced long and hard for this new cappucino!

“Phoenix” in Japanese is called “Hoo/鵬” (“Peng” in Chinese, although the tales somewhat differ).

Beautiful wings!

Does a Phoenix have eyelashes? LOL

It certainly refused to disappear until the last minute!

Everyone, or almost everyone like or has liked teddy bears!
And naturally Saori chan at patina just love them and could not resist concocting one for me thelast time I visited Patina!

As for its gender I had some doubts as it is both sporting long eyelashes and a thin moustache (unless it is a smile!)!

What do you think? LOL
More coming soon!

2013 is the Year of the Snake (Serpent) in the Japanese and Chinese Calendars!
No wonder that Saori san made a new cappucino last time I visited Patina in Aoik Ku, Shizuoka City to commemorate the new year!

A beautiful (delicious?) snake and a little design I will explain later!

saori san must have experimented for quite some time before succeeding with these exquisite coils!

I don’t think snakes smile so much!

She went as far as drawing the Chinese character “巳” for “Snake” which represents the sixth term in the 12-year cycle Chinese Calendar!

Here is the latest creation by Saori Chan at Patina Bistro in Aoi-Ku, Shizuoka City: Tulip Cappucino!

Although some friends it reminds them of a loving heart, Saori insisted it was a tulip!

At least the leaves should convince you it is a flower!

I just don’t know how Saori san can achieve such detailed design!

Whatever you drink the tulip would not disappear!

Insistent love? LOL

This is the latest Cappucino created by Saori Chan/沙緒里ちゃん at Patina in Shizuoka City!
It could become another inspiration for my Swiss friend Sissi at With A Glass!

I had a real problem to come up with a name to describe this rabbit!

What would you say: A Moustache or doe eyes?
Mind you, I could have called it big flapping ears rabbit!

Now, who is that little heart for? LOL

April 16, 2009

Since the Missus was down with a virus, I went for lunch at Il Cuore in Shiuzoka City.
A friend just happened to pass by when I was about to order coffee. I invited to join me and we had some fun together with Cappuccinos.
Mine (see above picture) was cute, I mus admit.

But my friend’s was cute, too!

The fun didn’t stop there as we found later when the character refused to vanish (mine above!)

Same for my friend’s!

February 19, 2009

I’ve been lazy today. I mean as far as blogging is concerned.
I just had too much on my agenda. I have to work sometimes! LOL
I was just having this “business meeting” at one of my favourite Cafettaria, namely CAFFETERIA IL CUORE in Shizuoka City, when I realized that the Cappucino I had asked was worth a second look.
Rowena will probably tell me this is run-of-the-mill in Italy, but in Japan, where people are in a hurry, taking the time to prepare an artful cup of coffee is almost a luxury.
Anyway, I think this wolf is a bad one. His face is just too sly! Okay, it might be a bear in disguise, too!LOL
