As Yoshiya Brewery has officially ceased operations this month, I acquired a few of their bottles for posterity, at least for the sake of his retired Masterbrewer Harushu Nakashima!

Yoshiya Brewery: Abekaido, Tokubetsu Honjozo

Alcohol: 15~16 degrees
Dryness: +5~+8
Acidity: 1.0~1.3
Bottled in February 2009

Clarity: Very clear
Colour: Transparent
Aroma: Very dry. Fruity: banana, bitter chocolate
Body: Velvet~fluid
Taste: Dry and soft. Gentle on the palate. Shortish tail.
Fruity: bananas, pineapple, hints of almonds and oranges.
Turns pleasantly drier with the next sip.
Stays dry and takes a back seat to food with a late appearance by bitter chocolate and coffee beans.

Overall: Pleasant dry sake typical of Yoshiya Brewery.
Probably best enjoyed on its own, but will provide excellent balance to food with its dryness.
For dry sake lovers!
