Service: Very kind and deferential. Sophisticated
Equipment & Facilities: Overall spotless clean. Superb washroom. Parking. Entirely non-smoking!
Strong points: Classic French cakes! Morning and lunch sets!
When Shunsuke Kasai/笠井俊介さん retired and sold his cafe patisserie called “Bouquet” at the time near Cenova Department Store in Aoi Ku, Shizuoka City, a lot of people felt the loss.
But Ms Toshiko Aoshima/青島登志子さん convinced to join her in a new collaboration venture in Suruga Ku, Shizuoka City to open a cafe patisserie in her own home under the new name of Sud Bouquet some 18 months ago!
Very welcoming design!
Great balance with greenery by the car park!
The small “garden” includes lemon and kumquat trees!
Ample parking (there is another one away under the railway!)!
Sud Bouquet means “south bouquet” in French since it has moved from the north to the south of Shizuoka City!
One can sit at a table in two different rooms or…
…at one of the counter by the windows!
The cake window display!
Actually we had arrive late in the afternoon and there was little left!
For a closer look!
My favorite: Gateau Basque!
The best one, and a rare one at that, in the whole Prefecture!
Very reasonable prices!
Toshiko prepares the morning sets and lunch sets herself and Shunsuke takes acre of all the cakes!
My cake and coffee set!
Gateau Basque, authentic and out of this world!
Dark cherries tart!
