AOI BEER STAND owned by Aoi Brewery in Miyuki Cho, Aoi Ku, Shizuoka City, has the merit to offer on tap other craft beers from Shizuoka Prefecture and the rest of Japan, but you do have to hurry as they usually served only one keg before switching to another brew!
A limited brew called Weizen Bock by Isei Kadoya Brewery in Mie Prefecture which is not even on their menu back there!
Served on tap
Barley, barley malt, hop, live yeast.
Bubbles: very fine bubbles. Creamy. Longish head. White.
Clarity: Slightly smoky (normal considering live yeast and being unfiltered), very clean
Color: Deep orange/persimmon
Aroma: Light. Bread, citruses.
Taste: dry, deep and fruity attack. Refreshing.
lingers long enough on the palate for true tasting.
Dry bananas staying all the way before departing on a drier note.
Varies only a little with food but bananas as strong as ever.
Overall: very intriguing craft beer with its lingering banana tastedespite the fact none was used in its fabrication.
Not on the menu at the brewery!
So lucky to taste it here in Shizuoka!
very refreshing and reliable.
