Japanese Ladies Fashion in Shizuoka 13: back to the 60’s?

Sissi, Quizoxy and Bena nDR will have to help me define this fashion appearing more and more with the warmer days!

I actualy met those two young ladies (definitely not girls) outside Good Old Table Hamburger Restaurant and they gladly accepted to pose for me although in exchange I had to pose with each of them and take them in pictures with their camera as well!

We even exchanged names!
The lady on the right named An/杏 definitely reminds me of Janis Joplin while Midori/美登里 looks so much like the ladies I loved back in my hippie days in the 60’s!
Don’t ask me their age, which I basically know, but they are definitely adult! They had come all the way from Makinohara City, a long ride by car as no train goes there unless they took a train from Shimada City. It is farmland famous for tea and our two “country girls” came to spend the week end in Shizuoka City for sightseeing and shopping.
I actually found them cute small as they were (they barely reached my shoulder, and I am small!)!

  1. Hippie is the right word I suppose for this style, but I would add “cute”, because they have very cute touches to their look, so cute & hippie? They look very nice indeed!
Wow, do I see bare feet?
(Doesn’t midori mean green? Or maybe there is another meaning?)

You could say that the reason why the fashion in Japan is that gorgeous and well praise all the time is due to their unique weather climate they live in. With the thick muffs during Winter to energetic clothing Spring, and not to forget about the wide variety of dressing we observe during the Summer and Autumn season. The way they dress changes with climate, and appear to be moving along with fashion with regards to the season, just like beautiful flowers blooming in different seasons.

From the Photograph, we have two pretty ladies dressing casually, most likely going out to enjoy themselves in the sun warming up the crisp air that was misting not long ago during Winter. That’s one of my favourite moment when the ladies decides to slowly put away those thick clothing of theirs after winter and get into more comfortable dresses in the good weather!

It’s pretty enjoying looking at them, with the lady on the left appearing sunny with her sandals, skirt and hat, posing beside a bicycle. At the same time, the lady on the right dressing like a city girl with matching accessories to enhance her overall appearance, posing with that remarkable expression of hers.

Absolutely amazing, well done Dragon fashion ambassador! (^_ ^ )/
